The  2023 Winner in Goat Production is Morgan Baerwolf of the Columbus FFA. This proficiency is sponsored by LaClare Farms and KIDFARM LLC. 

Morgan started her SAE in middle school when she bought her first goat from a neighbor who sold out their herd. Morgan is responsible for all aspects of her herd which has grown to 21 goats, including daily care, breeding decisions, and preparing her goats for shows. Additionally, Morgan milks her goats, allowing her to sell the milk to dog breeders to feed their puppies, craft markers, and even keeps some herself to make soap.

Baerwolf will find out this summer if she is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Morgan will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in November.
