The 2022 Agricultural Sales – Placement proficiency winner is Amanda Bender of the Big Foot FFA. The Agricultural Sales – Placement proficiency is sponsored by Direct Enterprises, Inc.

Amanda began her SAE when she found employment at Heyer True Value, the local hardware store. Amanda started out stocking shelves and assisting at check out. Throughout the years, her duties have greatly evolved to include training new employees and creating product displays in the store. Though Amanda has gained much knowledge and experience, her favorite part of her SAE is being able to help others achieve their everyday projects and assist farmers in maintaining a working operation.

Amanda’s advisor is Lisa Konkel.

Bender will find out this summer if she is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Amanda will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
