MADISON, Wis. (May 22, 2023) – The East Troy FFA Chapter was named the state winning Agricultural Sales Career Development Event Team. Team members include Aubrey Benz, Candence Kroll, Lilah Feyen, and Alyssa Schauer. Their advisors are Ryan Holle and Katie Vacula. Keyarra Meulemans from the Wrightstown FFA was the top individual. Her advisor is Brian Pinchart.

In this contest, students work as a team to collaboratively build a sales plan and demonstrate skills in customer relations. The team event illustrates related careers and offers a firsthand look at developing product knowledge and driving sales.

East Troy will now represent Wisconsin FFA in competition at the National FFA Career Development Events to be held in November in Indianapolis, Indiana during the 96th National FFA Convention. The Agricultural Sales CDE is sponsored on the state level by Star Blends and Wyffels Hybrids. The National sponsors are Bayer, Syngenta, NAU Country and Nutrien Ag Solutions.

Students competing in the Agricultural Sales CDE gain experience and skills essential to the production and marketing of agricultural products. All CDEs engage students in developing their communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills to promote future career success.
