The 2022 Winner in Organic Agriculture is Austin Fahey of the Edgar FFA Chapter. The Organic Agriculture Proficiency is sponsored by Organic Valley/CROPP Cooperative, Inc..

Austin grew up living and working on his family’s organic dairy farm, Ji-mmy Dairy. He milks 38 registered Holsteins twice a day and assists with all other farm chores. Austin additionally treats animals when they are sick and helps with the farm’s artificial insemination program. 

Austin’s advisor is Matthew Reinders.

Fahey will find out this summer if he selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Austin will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
