Norah Ganske of the Waupun FFA is a Wisconsin Star Farmer finalist.

The Star Farmer Award recognizes students in production agriculture working with entrepreneurship programs, ranging from animals to crops.

Norah owns a swine operation that initially started with just a few sows, but has grown her herd with a focus on genetics. She chooses the best gilts with strong breeding traits from her litters, and has gained skills in artificial insemination. Norah currently has her own herd of 46. She has made it a priority to learn more about nutrition and make decisions that positively impact her herd. Additionally, she has become much more confident in her management skills. 

Norah plans to attend UW-River Falls to major in Animal Science, with a minor in Spanish. 

Norah’s parents are Jason and Leslie Ganske. Her advisors are Ms. Tari Costello, Mr. Ryan Seichter, and Mr. Kris Beaver.
