The 2022 Swine Production Entrepreneurship proficiency winner is Rylee Guajardo of the Mauston FFA. The Swine Production Entrepreneurship Proficiency is sponsored by the Wisconsin Pork Association.

Rylee’s interest in owning hogs first began when she showed one of her family’s pigs at the county fair. From that point on, Rylee started to expand her herd and the number of shows she attended each year. Rylee monitors her pig’s diet, maintains a sanitary environment for her hogs, and vaccinates and monitors the health of her herd.

Rylee’s advisor is Beth Babcock.

Gaujardo will find out this summer if she is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Rylee will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
