Hall Wins Wisconsin FFA Forage Production Award

June 14, 2022 Proficiency

The 2022 Winner in Forage Production is Cody Hall of the Tomah FFA. The Forage Production Proficiency is sponsored by Kuhn North America, Inc.

Growing up watching his family plant and harvest haylage and corn silage, Cody couldn’t wait to get involved in the operation. After 6th grade, Cody started helping with harvest and hauling forage wagons. His duties have now expanded to involve plowing, raking and mowing hay, and planting. The 140 acres of alfalfa that Cody helps with all goes to feeding his family’s 200 cow dairy.

His advisors are Emma Huber and Nelda Bailey.

We would like to recognize the state finalists in Forage Production:

Second: Lora Korth, New London

Third: Rhett Nelson, Waupaca

Fourth: Levi Wehrle, River Ridge

Fifth: Jackie Nusbaum, Juda

Hall will find out this summer if he selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Cody will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
