Ihm Elected To Serve Wisconsin Association of FFA

June 15, 2022 State Officer

Jeremiah Ihm of the Lancaster FFA Chapter was elected to a year of service as the 2022-2023 Section Four State FFA Officer during the 93rd Wisconsin FFA Convention. His advisors are Jessica Schaefer and David Wright. Jeremiah’s parents are John and Deb Ihm.

Ihm currently attends the University of Wisconsin-River Falls working on his degree in Agricultural Education. He hopes to teach in southern Wisconsin so he is able to continue raising dairy calves with his father. Jeremiah’s Supervised Agricultural Experience has been working on the dairy farm, and his tasks include daily milking chores, keeping records, and field work just to name a few.

When Jeremiah isn’t busy working on the farm, he enjoys working with his FFA Chapter on community service projects. He participates in his chapter’s strawberry sale, where all of the proceeds are given to local charities. Jeremiah also participates in FFA events such as the Soil Judging Career Development Event, Prepared Speaking, Employability Skills, and Creed Speaking Leadership Development Events, and has been a chapter reporter, secretary, and president, as well as numerous chairman positions.

“My goal is to make as many FFA members as possible experience the feeling I felt, that drives us to be awesome and achieve our goals in and out of FFA.” Ihm says. He feels that FFA is truly his home away from home, and wants to help other members feel that way as well. Jeremiah would like to say thank you to all those who have helped him along the way and pushed him to get involved.
