Jakobi Wins Wisconsin FFA Diversified Agricultural Production Award

June 14, 2022 Proficiency

The 2022 Diversified Agricultural Production Proficiency Winner is Brandon Jakobi of the Loyal FFA. The Diversified Agricultural Production Proficiency is sponsored by Wisconsin Public Service.

On the farm, you can find Brandon doing just about everything, from operating equipment, chopping hay, hauling corn silage, and much more. His duties progressed as he grew to take on more challenging tasks, such as pushing up feed with the skid loader, overseeing the calf herd, and scraping the free-stall barn. Through his SAE, Brandon has been able to learn how to skillfully operate tractors, combines, silage trucks, and other heavy-duty equipment as well as become more involved in his family’s dairy operation.

Brandon’s advisor is Stephanie Donnerbauer.

We would like to recognize the state finalists in Diversified Agricultural Production:

Second: Carter Schmitt, Cochrane-Fountain City

Third: Luke Sprecher, Sauk Prairie

Fourth: Logan Sprecher, Sauk Prairie

Fifth: Lane Branville, New Auburn

Jakobi will find out this summer if he is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Brandon will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
