Janesville-Craig FFA Wins State Wildlife Career Development Event

June 8, 2022 CDE

MADISON, Wis. – The Janesville-Craig FFA Chapter was named the state winning Wildlife Career Development Event Team. Team members include Amber Denker, Jayden Murwin, Evan Palmer and Joseph Tobias. Their advisors are John Doyle and Jillian Garde. The top individual was Easton Walters of the Stanley-Boyd FFA. His advisor is Jordan Donnerbauer.

The objective of the Wildlife CDE is for FFA members to test their knowledge of wildlife, environment, habitat requirements and legal regulations. Students identify wildlife pelts, mounts, tracks and equipment. Additionally, a written exam is administered to test students’ understanding of hunting/fishing regulations and wildlife knowledge.

The Wildlife CDE is sponsored on the state level by the Wisconsin FFA Foundation Annual Fund.

All Career Development Events engage students in developing their communication, decision-making and teamwork skills to promote future career success.
