Aaron Makos of the Juda FFA is a Wisconsin Star in Agribusiness Finalist.
The Star in Agribusiness award recognizes students who have taken their spirit for entrepreneurship and developed their own Agricultural business.
After many years of small projects with his grandpa, Aaron decided to start his own woodworking business. He began selling items in July 2020, with his first project of two Leopold benches. Word about Aaron’s business spread through social media posts by his customers, which prompted him to start a Facebook page for his woodworking business. He has continued to reinvest in his business by purchasing new tools. Aaron manages every aspect of his business, from finances, to building products, and customer communications.
Additionally, Aaron’s agribusiness has supported his career plans, as he plans to become a carpenter. After graduating high school, he will be pursuing a carpentry apprenticeship program.
Aaron’s parents are Eric and Jody Makos. His advisor is Joseph Lyne.
