The 2022 Agricultural Processing proficiency winner is Ethan Meissner of the Marshfield FFA. The Agricultural Processing proficiency is sponsored by Wisconsin Public Service.

Ethan was able to begin his SAE through a family friend by working at their local meat processing facility. In the beginning, he cleaned the facility and assisted customers in loading their purchased products. Ethan’s duties now include custom meat cutting and processing, organizing and stocking freezers and working with the various equipment in the facility. 

Ethan’s advisors are Tim Heeg and Mark Zee.

Fifth: Rylee Nelson, Waupaca

Meissner will find out this summer if he is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Ethan will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
