Mennen Elected To Serve Wisconsin Association of FFA

June 15, 2022 State Officer

Evan Mennen from the Bay Port FFA Chapter was elected to a year of service as the 2022-2023 Section Nine FFA State Officer during the 93rd Wisconsin FFA Convention. His advisors are Whitney Barnes and Ryan Weed. His parents are Angie and Pete Mennen.

Mennen is currently at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, majoring in Agricultural Education. After graduating from UWRF, Evan plans to find a position as an agricultural educator and raise his own herd of beef cattle.

Evan is a member of the UWRF Beef Management Team while holding a position as the Cow-Calf Chair. But also a member of the UWRF Ag Ed Society, Collegiate Farm Bureau, and Block and Bridle where he attends the meetings participates in events and helps get more college students involved.

“The best part about FFA is that there is no target market. This jacket can be custom-tailored to fit any student that wants to wear it.” Mennen knows that FFA is not all “plows and cows” but wants to make sure that students know that there is so much more to it than that. He wants to offer a helping hand to the chapters, and members, and allow students to have the opportunity to “let their light shine.”
