MADISON, Wis. – The Milton FFA Chapter was named the state winning Milk Quality & Products Career Development Event Team. Team members include Hannah Pennycook, Faith Traynor, Willian Hentschel and Samuel Zabel. Their advisors are Matthew Lee, Lauren Metcalf and Stacy Skemp. Eric Schmidt from the Hartford FFA was named the top individual. His advisors are Kimberly Yohn and June Strupp.

Participants in the Milk Quality and Products Career Development Event demonstrate their knowledge about the quality production, processing distribution, promotion and marketing of milk and dairy foods.

Milton will now represent Wisconsin FFA in competition at the National FFA Career Development Events to be held in October in Indianapolis, Indiana during the 95th National FFA Convention. The Milk Quality CDE is sponsored on the state level by Wisconsin FFA Foundation Annual Funds. The National sponsor is Culver’s.

 All Career Development Events engage students in developing their communication, decision-making and teamwork skills to promote future career success.
