The Owen – Withee FFA Chapter was named the state winning Milk Quality & Products Career Development Event Team. Team members include Lydia Lobacz, Gabby Goessl, Carmen Frese and Tawny Ruppert. Their advisors are Travis Engel and Caleb Green. David Fargen from the Ithaca FFA was named the top individual. His advisor is Melissa Sprecher.

Participants in the Milk Quality and Products Career Development Event demonstrate their knowledge about the quality production, processing distribution, promotion and marketing of milk and dairy foods.

Owen – Withee will now represent Wisconsin FFA in competition at the National FFA Career Development Events to be held in November in Indianapolis, Indiana during the 96th National FFA Convention. The Milk Quality CDE is sponsored on the state level by Foremost Farms. The National sponsor is Culver’s.

 All Career Development Events engage students in developing their communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills to promote future career success.
