The 2022 Winner in Equine Science – Placement is Ellie Pomerening of the Weyauwega – Fremont FFA. The Equine Science – Placement Proficiency is sponsored by Edward J. Okray Foundation, Inc.

Ellie has shown horses for the past six years and recently got into speed shows. Over the years, Ellie has worked with five different horses and gained experience in horse judging, grooming, and training. Through her SAE, Ellie has become much more confident with her riding and ability to train horses. 

Her advisors are Ms. Sandy Dykes and Ms. Connie Peterson.

Pomrening will find out this summer if she selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Ellie will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
