Elizabeth Reinart of the Granton FFA Chapter was elected to a year of service as the 2023-2024 Section Seven State FFA Officer during the 94th Wisconsin FFA Convention. Her advisor is Katie Reider. Elizabeth’s parents are Kelly and Rachel Reinart.
The 2023 Granton graduate plans to attend the University of Wisconsin—River Falls in the fall to pursue a degree in Agricultural Education. Elizabeth hopes to become an agricultural education instructor and FFA advisor in the local area, so that she can help support and expand agricultural literacy and diversity within her students.
Reinart’s supervised agricultural experience program has allowed her a tremendous amount of experience in preparing for her future career goals, working with students from 4K through fifth grade to provide agricultural lessons, while also helping plan her chapter’s Food for American program and co-chairing their Haunted Forest fundraiser. At the same time, Elizabeth participated in National Honor Society, Student Council, track and field, and the PAWS community service group.
“The future of agriculture is the only future we have,” states Reinart, citing the diversity of the industry, including students who become “entrepreneurs and educators, the scientists who discover ways to better the lives of others, and the environmentalists who identify issues and their solutions in our communities.”
