The 2022 Agriscience Research Integrated Systems Proficiency Winner is Madison Russell of the Shullsburg FFA. The Agriscience Research Integrated Systems Proficiency is sponsored by Donna Lindow in memory of Joan Zee.

After showing market lambs as a 4-H member, Madison took an interest in sheep genetics and reproduction. She noticed that research on sheep reproduction is farther behind than other meat animals. Madison’s greatest accomplishment throughout her agriscience SAE is applying the research she has completed to her flock. The results of her first research project have allowed her to store ram semen more effectively and have higher reproductive yields in her flock

Russell will find out this summer if she selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Madison will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
