MADISON, Wis. – The Shullsburg FFA Chapter was named the state winning Middle School Career Development Event Team. Team members include Alexis Alt, Paige Russell, Lily Woodworth and Ava Griffin. Their advisor is Jennifer Russell. Additionally, the top individual was Alexis Alt.

The Middle School Career Development Event is a competition for middle school students who wish to have the opportunity to experience what a variety of CDE competitions are like. The competition includes content from the animal science, environmental science, agricultural mechanics, food science, and FFA areas. 

The Agricultural Communication Contest is sponsored on the state level by the Wisconsin FFA Foundation Annual Fund. 

All CDEs engage students in developing their communication, decision-making and teamwork skills to promote future career success.
