The 2022 Dairy Production – Entrepreneurship proficiency winner is Rainna Simone of the Marshfield FFA. The Dairy Production – Entrepreneurship proficiency is sponsored by United Animal Health.

Rainna began her SAE by scraping stalls in her grandparents’ barn until they decided to sell the herd. However, she was gifted a few show heifers to advance her SAE. She has turned the show heifers she was gifted into her own herd that includes four cows to milk, and one calf. With help from her grandparents, she has learned how to manage her hobby farm and the daily care her herd requires. 

Rainna’s advisors are Tim Heeg and Mark Zee.

Simone will find out this summer if she selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Rainna will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
