Sprecher Wins Wisconsin FFA Diversified Agricultural Production Proficiency Winner

June 16, 2023 Proficiency

The 2023 Diversified Agricultural Production proficiency winner is Luke Sprecher of the Sauk Prairie FFA. This proficiency is sponsored by Wisconsin Public Service.

Luke started to work at Kevin Enge Farms after being asked if he would be interested in some after school work. Luke only milked cows and fed calves when he first started. Now, Luke works as a full time employee of the farm where he assists in making the cropping decisions for the 700 tillable acres and the herd management of the 255 dairy cattle. Luke’s leadership on the farm even led to a significant increase in milk production for the herd from 40lbs to 90 lbs.

Luke’s advisors are Troy Talford and Jared Mack.

We would like to recognize the state finalists in Diversified Agricultural Production :

Second: Allison Loosen, Slinger

Third: Kaleb Ellis, Cochrane-Fountain City

Fourth: Lora Korth, New London

Fifth: Lindsey Montgomery, Waupaca

Sprecher will find out this summer if he is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Luke will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in November.
