Sternitzky Wins Wisconsin FFA Equine Science – Entrepreneurship Award

June 14, 2022 Proficiency

The 2022 Winner in Equine Science – Entrepreneurship is Emily Sternitzky of the Marshfield FFA. The Equine Science – Entrepreneurship Proficiency is sponsored by Marshfield FFA Alumni.

Emily’s roles and responsibilities have increased greatly since she could start doing chores. Back then, she was responsible for daily grooming and feeding the animals. Now that she is older and more responsible, she is in charge of riding and training, helping to determine feed and supplement rations, checking for abnormalities in health, grooming, and many elements that go into the overall care of the horses.

Emily’s advisors are Tim Heeg and Mark Zee.

We would like to recognize the state finalists in Equine Science Entrepreneurship:

Second: Lindsey Montgomery, Waupaca

Third: Ava Johnson, Weyauwega-Fremont

Fourth: Skyler Hahn, Weyauwega-Fremont

Fifth: Brooke Casey, New London

Sternitzky will find out this summer if she selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Emily will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
