Warren Wins Wisconsin FFA Diversified Horticulture Award

June 14, 2022 Proficiency

The 2022 Winner in Diversified Horticulture is Ashley Warren of the Weyauwega-Fremont FFA. The Diversified Horticulture Proficiency is sponsored by Amherst FFA Alumni.

Ashley is employed at Pick’n Save in the floral department where she is responsible for the care of a range of plants including succulents, gerbera daisies, and other small household care plants. Tasks at this job include watering each plant, picking away dried leaves and flowers, preparing bouquets, and making arrangements. Ashley assists in managing her school’s greenhouse where roles include fertilization and managing plant health.

Her advisors are Sandra Dykes and Connie Peterson.

We would like to recognize the state finalists in Diversified Horticulture:

Second: Samantha Anhalt, Mishicot

Third: Aidan Jonuska, Elkhorn

Fourth: Crystal Anhalt, Mishicot

Fifth: Colton Alsum, Randolph Cambria-Friesland

Warren will find out this summer if she is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Ashley will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
