The 2023 Winner in Nursery Operations is Haley Williams of the Randolph-Cambria-Friesland FFA. This proficiency is sponsored by Wisconsin Public Service.

Haley is employed at J.W. Jung Seed Company. When Haley first started, she assisted in the shipping department with packaging and scanning items. As Haley developed as an employee, she began to take on more difficult and intricate tasks such as order entry, packaging seeds, and taking care of the plants. Haley’s SAE has helped her gain a vast knowledge regarding plant science, increased her decision making skills, and helped her grow into a more reliable employee 

Haley’s advisors are Lauren Freel and Keith Gundlach.

Fourth: Evelin Slinger, Random Lake

Williams will find out this summer if she is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Haley will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in November.
