The 2022 Dairy Production – Placement Proficiency Winner is Randall Winch of the Fennimore FFA. The Dairy Production – Placement Proficiency is sponsored by Four Hands Holsteins, Inc.

For as long as he can remember, Randall has been working on his family’s 240 cow dairy farm. Growing up on a dairy farm has inspired him to continue his family’s legacy by becoming more involved in his family’s operation.  His initial duty on the farm was feeding calves, but now Randy can be seen working in all aspects of the farm, from managing the calf operation to working with new technologies such as their robotic milking system and spreadsheets for data management.

Randall’s advisor is Shelby Mitchell.

Winch will find out this summer if he is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Randall will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
