Zee Wins Wisconsin FFA Beef Production – Entrepreneurship Award

June 14, 2022 Proficiency

The 2022 Beef Production – Entrepreneurship proficiency winner is Adam Zee of the Marshfield FFA. The Beef Production – Entrepreneurship proficiency is sponsored by Collegiate FFA, UW-Madison.

Adam began his SAE by purchasing home-raised market steers to show at the county fair, but soon after started purchasing high-end breeding livestock. Adam currently owns 14 head of cows and heifers, six of which are bred and owned. He has greatly expanded upon his knowledge and now makes all decisions in regard to his herd’s health and care. Because of his great knowledge of genetics, Adam has bred grand champion steers and best of show heifers and sells many prospect calves in the spring.

Adam’s advisors are Mark Zee and Tim Heeg.

We would like to recognize the state finalists in Beef Production – Entrepreneurship:

Second: Ethan Lulich, Mauston

Third: Alexandra Nowak, Denmark

Fourth: Joseph Robinson, Mineral Point

Fifth: Ellen Robinson, Mineral Point

Zee will find out this summer if he is selected as one of four national finalists. If selected, Adam will compete at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., in October.
