Emma Bangart of the Marshfield FFA is a Wisconsin Star Farmer finalist.
Emma’s dairy herd started when her parents bought her a Red & White Holstein for a 4-H project from a local sale. Emma now owns 12 Red and White Holsteins and one Black Holstein. Emma is heavily involved in the care of her herd, with responsibilities of treating sick calves, filling out registration papers, performing vaccinations, and much more. In addition to her dairy herd, Emma raises two market hogs each year to be shown at the fair. Emma is responsible for daily care of her hogs including feeding, watering, cleaning, and exercising. Emma takes great pride in making good management decisions because she knows that it will affect the health and success of her animals
Emma is currently attending college at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. Emma hopes to attend Vet School to one day become a large animal veterinarian in central Wisconsin.
Emma’s parents are Rick and Peggy Bangart. Her advisors are Tim Heeg and Mark Zee.
