Broege named Wisconsin Star in Agribusiness Finalist

June 16, 2022 Star Award

Caden Broege of the Clinton FFA is a Wisconsin Star in Agribusiness Finalist.

The Star in Agribusiness award recognizes students who have taken their spirit for entrepreneurship and developed their own Agricultural business.

Caden started his custom baling business after recognizing a need his neighbors had. With help from his father, he started Caden’s Custom Baling. He owns all equipment and manages all bookkeeping and invoicing for the business. In addition, Caden manages mowing, raking, baling, and wrapping all of the forage. Additionally, he is responsible for all equipment maintenance. Starting the business at age 13, Caden’s largest challenge was finding customers – but he has found that his work ethic, integrity, and efficiency has won over those potential customers.

Caden plans to continue operating his custom baling business while working on his family farm, Broege Acres, and attending Blackhawk Technical College. He hopes to obtain a degree in agribusiness management before returning to the farm full-time.

Caden’s parents are Scott and Chris Broege. His advisor is Kelsey Kueter.
