The Elkhorn FFA Chapter was named the state winning Environmental and Natural Resources Career Development Event Team. Team members include Macie Kruse, Mason Markham, Ashlyn Cianco and Mariana Axtman. Their advisors are Bailey Hart, David Kruse and Alex Hutson. 

The Environmental and Natural Resources Career Development Event provides competing students an opportunity to gain awareness and demonstrate knowledge in areas that affect our air, soil, and water. Competitors interpret data, use measuring devices in the field and work through real-life scenarios involving environmental threats.

Elkhorn will now represent Wisconsin FFA in competition at the National FFA Career Development Events to be held in November in Indianapolis, Indiana during the 96th National FFA Convention. The Environmental Science CDE is sponsored on the state level by United Cooperative. The National sponsors are Wrangler and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Career Development Events engage students in developing their communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills to promote future career success.
