The Hartford FFA Chapter was named the state winning Veterinary Science Career Development Event Team. Team members include Joshua Knapp, Elisabeth Norman, Izzy Haeft and Ellie Hanlon. Their advisors are Kimberly Yohn and June Strupp. Additionally, the top individual was Joshua Knapp.

The objective of the Veterinary Science CDE is for FFA members to showcase their understanding of veterinary science procedures. In the Veterinary Science Career Development Event students, working in teams, demonstrate their technical competency with small and large animals by completing a written exam, critical-thinking scenario questions, identifications, and hands-on practicums. 

Hartford will now represent Wisconsin FFA in competition at the National FFA Career Development Events to be held in November in Indianapolis, Indiana during the 96th National FFA Convention. The Veterinary Science CDE is sponsored on the state level by the Clinton FFA Alumni. The National sponsor is Zoetis and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association.

 All Career Development Events engage students in developing their communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills to promote future career success.
