June 15, 2023 Star Award

Lora Korth of the New London FFA is a Wisconsin Star in Agricultural Placement finalist.

Lora has a range of responsibilities on the farm including feeding calves, vaccinating the herd, driving tractors, tilling, developing nutrient management plans, and many others. Additionally, Lora is employed by her uncle where she assists from planting to harvest with his 1000 acres where he grows soybeans, wheat, oats, and corn. On both farms, Lora conducts maintenance and repair on equipment. Through her experiences, Lora has learned all aspects of farm management.

Lora is currently attending the University of Wisconsin – River Falls double majoring in Dairy Science Management and Crop and Soil Sciences. After graduating, Lora hopes to one day take over the family farm.

Lora’s parents are Michael and Amy Korth. Her advisor is Crystal Retzlaff.
