Wisconsin FFA Recognizes Distinguished Service Award Recipients

June 20, 2023 Adult Recognition

For outstanding support, help and guidance to agricultural education and the FFA, the Wisconsin Association of FFA was honored to bestow the Distinguished Service Award to two recipients at the 94th Wisconsin FFA Convention held in Madison, Wisconsin. The 2023 Distinguished Service Award recipients are:

Ted Halbach
Ted Halbach is a distinguished faculty instructor of dairy management at UW-Madison. At the university his dairy judging teams have been very successful. He has played a key role in implementing youth programs, developed resources, provided workshops, presentations and activities in the area of evaluating functional conformation of dairy cattle. Since 1999, Wisconsin FFA has had the privilege of his service as a superintendent of the Dairy Cattle Management Evaluation and Dairy Cattle Handler CDEs.

Kerry
Kerry is a Platinum level State FFA Convention Partner where they have sponsored the Day of Service event for 6 years. Their support of this program provides FFA members the opportunity to serve the Madison community through various service projects each year. Kerry’s mission is to help develop and train future leaders through the action of giving back to the community.

The Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor that the FFA can bestow on a non-member, organization, business, or agency.
