Wittrock Elected To Serve Wisconsin Association of FFA

June 14, 2023 State Officer

Brooke Wittrock of the Bloomer FFA Chapter was elected to a year of service as the 2023-2024 Section One State FFA Officer during the 94th Wisconsin FFA Convention. Her advisors are Darren Swartz, Jackie Johnson and Racheal Haas. Brooke’s parents are Edward and Jocelyn Wittrock.

Wittrock is currently planning to attend the University of Wisconsin—River Falls to pursue a degree in agricultural education with a minor in agricultural engineering technology and credits her supervised agricultural experience project as one of her most impactful FFA experiences to date. Although she began by merely observing, Brooke quickly began to take on additional roles serving as a department assistant, coaching the middle school quiz bowl team, teaching daily lessons and creating course materials for the district.

During her time in FFA, Wittrock served as a chapter president and historian, attended numerous leadership conferences and served as the community composting coordinator. At the same time, she worked as a school custodial staff member, competed in powerlifting and cross country and volunteered at CrossWoods Adventure camp.

Her involvement in these activities helped Wittrock learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. “As I reflected, I realized being uncomfortable forced me to grow as a person” and to not “look at obstacles as negative experiences, but opportunities for learning and growth”, something she will help FFA members across the state to embrace throughout her year of service.
